Established in April 1993, the Black Gold Health Foundation raises funds to support new technology, specialized equipment and innovative programs to ensure the best medical care to the residents of Leduc and area.  While working with the Capital Health Authority, the Black Gold Health Foundation is able to enhance the quality of medical services available at the Leduc Community Hospital, and the Health Centers of Beaumont, Leduc and Thorsby.  Organized by a volunteer Board of Trustees, the Black Gold Health Foundation relies on special events such as the Leduc Dragon Boat Festival, in order to fulfill their vision of the citizens of the region having the highest quality of health care services.
